Honestly - I'm tired of the entire "work hard play hard" cult scene.
"Hustling" all the fkng time will lead to burnout! Stifling the very creativity that fuels your freelance journey.
Resting between your work and everything else you must do in a day isn't laziness; it's essential for the sustainable creativity and innovation YOU NEED to be your best YOU.
A study from Stanford University showed that productivity drastically decreases after 50 hours of work in a week. More hours don't always mean better results.
I don't like the term "work-life BALANCE", because it says you are balancing out something you like with something you don't.
I prefer something along the lines of "work-life integration". Because I don't stop being a designer, or a mentor, or whatever I am doing at 5 pm sharp.
And, I have Mr. Fred to remind me daily just to chill and step away from my computer every once in a while! 😸
