I had a mentoring call recently with a younger designer that was dealing with getting rejected a lot for jobs and was thinking of quitting their UX career altogether.

Rejection is a common experience for all of us, especially if you want to be a Freelancer! But it is important to view rejection as an opportunity rather than a failure.

I've been rejected so much in so many ways that I lost count. It really doesn't matter. Each rejection is a chance to grow, learn, and refine your skills.

Or, as my dad would put it - "Even a kick in the ass is a step forward."

Please do not let rejection define you or dim your light. You have so much to offer, and I have no doubt that your big break will come.

The most successful people in the world have faced rejection countless times, but they never lost sight of their dreams.

Trust in the journey and never give up on your passions.
