Lies, Honesty, and why I can't eat Snickers anymore. 🍫❤️
My first job ever was a sweeping warehouse gig, to which I was demoted because I sucked at sticking decals to grocery products. 🤷♂️😅
As I was sweeping, I came across several forklift drivers eating Snickers and Mars that fell out of a damaged box. They offered me some, but I declined as it felt like stealing. I cleaned up the mess and reported damaged boxes to my "boss".
At the end of the shift, I was invited to the warehouse management office; and asked about it and do I know who ate all the chocolate.
I said, "I have no idea; I just reported the damage."
It turns out they already knew because of the newly installed CCTV cameras, but I didn't snitch 😎
As a reward, they gave me the entire box of Snickers. And it was a LARGE BOX. Ones they send to the supermarket.
I had Snickers for breakfast, lunch and dinner for weeks. In the end, a few of them went by the expiration date. I haven't had it since.
Honesty pays. Not snitching? I leave that to you. 🤘🔥
